Thursday is "AKFCF Day" and will feature two keynote speakers in the morning and excellent afternoon workshops, with lunch in the exhibit hall and time to spend with the vendors after the workshops conclude.
Michael Abrashoff
Michael Abrashoff presented the closing keynote at the AKFCF 2009 convention and was so well-received that we invited him back! At the 2012 convention Abrashoff will be taking his leadership principles to the next level. His new book "It's Our Ship" focuses on creating a high performance culture where EVERYONE takes ownership and responsibility using real lessons from the business world with focus on innovation, accountability and engagement. Not only will Abrashoff be speaking in the morning, but he and his team will faciliate an afternoon workshop, delving even deeper into these principles of leadership. You won't want to miss either session!
Harry Balzer
Vice President of The NPD Group, Harry Balzer is a national expert on food and diet trends in America. This presentation is not only eye-opening, but fascinating in the insights you will gain about the quick-service restaurant industry. Balzer will share actionable insights on evolving consumer purchasing trends
Lunch and Afternoon in the Exhibit Hall
Join your exhibitors for lunch in the trade show, where they will be available to talk and visit with you for a concentrated 2-hour period. Then come back after the workshops for another 2 hours to spend with your suppliers.
New this year is a presentation stage, where our sponsors will be invited to take 15 minutes to showcase their product and service. A schedule of presentations will be available to you at registration, so you'll know who will be presenting and when.

Workshops
A great opportunity to carry Mike Abrashoff’s keynote into your business, the "Take Action Leadership" workshop will take place from 2:15-4:15 pm. This take-action session will equip you with additional tools and strategies to apply in your KFC restaurant.
Immediately following until 5:00 pm, the NPC will host a presentation on Cost of Goods Impacting your P&L "teaser", which will be continued on Friday during the Brand Priorities workshop.
