The Palazzo®

If you were at the Venetian in 2005 and enjoyed the hotel, you'll REALLY like the Palazzo®.  Connected to the Venetian by shared walks and waterways, all accommodations at The Palazzo are suites.  The Palazzo has a separate Entrance and Lobby from The Venetian, so make sure you know which hotel you've booked before you arrive!   The suites at The Palazzo feature all the same extraordinary services and amenities of the suites of The Venetian and are specially designed for business travelers.  The Palazzo is directly adjacent to The Venetian Congress Center for the meetings and the Sands Expo Center Hall D for exhibits.

Our convention rate of $154/night is no longer available because we have used 100% of our room block.  Click here to make your reservations on-line or to make your hotel reservations by phone, call 702-414-4100 or 888-283-6423

Final Night Gala

As always, our gala on Thursday evening will be the crowning jewel of the convention.  The AKFCF is pleased to welcome JOHN FOGERTY!

You baby-boomers will recognize Fogerty as the front man for Creedence Clearwater Revival, one of the top rock bands of the 70's.  You "kids of baby boomers" will recognize Fogerty's music as well, as he'll be performing solo hits ("Centerfield", "The Old Man Down The Road", "Rock ‘N Roll Girls, etc.), CCR hits and MORE!

Click here to get a preview of the new John Fogerty CD and join us on Thursday, February 11th for this special final night gala!

Exhibitor Information

If you have been an exhibitor in the past at an AKFCF convention, you know that the franchisees really appreciate your participation and are very loyal in their attendance to the show.  If you have never exhibited before, give it a try!    The cost of a 10x10 booth (if purchased by December 31st) is $5,500 and this includes your carpet and registration for two attendees.  Don't hesitate to register, because the cost goes up to $6,500 at January 1st.

Agenda Highlights

You will be truly motivated by this year's keynote speaker, Eric Weihenmayer.  Author of Touch the Top of the World and The Adversity Advantage: Turning Everyday Struggles Into Everyday Greatness, Erik is truly a World-Class Adventurer. He is one of only 200 mountaineers to have climbed the Seven Summits – the highest mountains on each of the seven continents. This in itself is a stellar accomplishment, but what makes his story even more remarkable is that Erik is blind!  His daring adventures have shattered people’s perceptions all over the world about what is humanly possible. Erik inspires us to have the vision to dream big, the courage to reach for near impossible goals, and the grit, determination, and ingenuity to transform our lives into something extraordinary.

Joining us from our YRI family will be Ivan Schofield, General Manager of KFC France.  You won't want to miss this look into one of the most successful markets in KFC today!

Due to the extreme popularity of Larry Light's workshop at the 2009 convention, the AKFCF is bringing him back as our closing keynote speaker in 2010 so everyone can listen to his message.  Larry Light is currently the CEO of Arcature, a management consulting company that advises companies how to create, build and manage brands.  He is perhaps best known for reigniting McDonald’s sales and overhauling its marketing plan with the “I’m loving it” strategy. While serving as McDonald’s Global Chief Marketing Officer, BrandWeek selected Larry as one of the top ten marketers of the year, and McDonald’s won the prestigious “Marketer of the Year” award.  The AKFCF is happy to present Larry Light to update us on his vision for KFC's future.

The AKFCF Town Hall meeting is one of the biggest highlights of the convention.  This is the franchisee-only session where you can share your thoughts, concerns, and best practices with fellow franchisees in a private forum.  Make sure you put this session on your personal agenda.

Five educational workshops will be offered on Wednesday, February 10th, and everyone will be able to attend three of these workshops.

Andy Selden's annual legal update will focus on "hot topics" that are simmering at Convention time.

AKFCF Government Affairs Workshop - Stand Up For Your Business!   Now more than ever you need to fight for your future! Legislation currently looms in Congress that could potentially harm your business. What can you do to avoid adversity and possible financial losses? Polaris Consulting will provide you with a proactive strategy that you can implement to guard your business against harmful legislation. It's "battle stations, all hands on deck". Don't let your business be hijacked - join your AKFCF GAC to learn how you can effectively fight to survive the "Congressional carnage" likely to come from Capitol Hill.   Note:  Each workshop attendee will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to join the next AKFCF GAC fly-in to Washington, DC to meet with congressional members and express your concerns directly - all expenses paid!

Making Good Things Happen.  Don’t miss one of the nation’s most active motivational humorists, Bryan Townsend.  In addition to speaking, Bryan has written thousands of radio and television commercials, numerous articles and several books including Life is an Adventure, Hitching Up a Winning Team and Making Good Things Happen.

Build your Know-How on Margin Improvement:  Learn from KFCC about best practice-sharing tools, 2010 national training initiatives, and fuel your intentionality to bring breakthrough results to your bottom line.

Experience the Power of TeamKFC:  See the improvements and learn how TeamKFC can be the one-stop resource that will help you DRIVE your business and RUN great restaurants.

KFC Franchisee Next Generation Luncheon

Are you between the ages of 18 and 32 years old?  Have you ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes at the AKFCF?  Are you interested in owning your own restaurant someday or just getting involved in the KFC business?  Are you looking for something more, but are not sure how to start?  Or, are you looking for a place to put your talents and passions into action?

AKFCF's "Next Generation" is a newly created group designed to be an introduction to the world of Kentucky Fried Chicken and the AKFCF.  This forum is for newcomers to the KFC business; allowing you to get to know one another and share ideas on how you plan to lead the future of the AKFCF.  Sons and daughters, as well as family and friends of franchisees are welcome to this informal group.  If you want to bring new age thinking to doing things The Hard Way, then this is the group for you.  We are a group that can adapt to the evolving business world.  We can teach each other about the opportunities that KFC and AKFCF have to offer and teach the responsibility we each have to preserve and continue the values of Colonel Sanders.

Register for the lunch when you complete your on-line registration for convention!

Ray Zimmerer Memorial Golf Tournament

This year's tournament will take place at the Desert Pines Golf Club. This Dye-designed course offers golfers a uniquely themed experience unlike any other in the City of Entertainment…it brings a touch of Pinehurst to Las Vegas. The Tournament is limited to the first 144 players and is open to officially registered Convention participants.

Your tournament fee includes breakfast, lunch, greens fees, and prizes.  Please register for the golf tournament during your convention registration process on line.
